Dr. Ron Armstrong
Dr. Armstrong graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. After working for 11 years at the Desert Inn Animal Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada he purchased Platte Woods Animal Hospital from Dr. George Barrows in 1992. Dr. Armstrong lives with his wife, Nancy, two sons, Christopher & Tyler, and four dogs. In his free time he enjoys all outside sports, coaching youth sports, reading, and gardening.

Paula Barger
Paula graduated from Maple Woods Community College Veterinary Technician program in 2004 with an Associates Degree in Science. She joined Platte Woods Animal Hospital shortly after graduation. She lives in the Kansas City Mo area with her husband, four children, one dog, Harlequin, one python, Betsy, one corn snake, Ripley, two frogs and a Beta fish. She enjoys working but in her spare time also enjoys camping, being outdoors, fishing, and visiting local zoos.

Dr. Shana Stelzer
Dr. Shana Stelzer Dr. Stelzer graduated from Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in 2004 with a DVM degree. She joined Platte Woods Animal Hospital shortly after graduation in June 2004. Dr. Stelzer lives in Shawnee, KS with her husband, Dave, and two very spoiled Golden Retrievers, Strummer and Lily. In her spare time she enjoys waterskiing, snow skiing, scuba diving, and relaxing at home.

Pam Jones
Pam has been working with Dr. Armstrong at Platte Woods Animal Hospital as the Office Manager for 5 years. She lives in the Platte City MO area with her husband, Jeff, and two loveable dachshunds, Samantha and Libby. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her granddaughter Whitney, reading and spending time at family outings.

Jeff Ridout
Jeff has been working with Dr. Armstrong at Platte Woods Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Technician for 12 years. He lives in the Kansas City MO area with his wife, Shelly, three daughters, Andrea, Elizabeth, and Megan and two cats, Susan and Nala. In his spare time away from work he enjoys spending time with his family and going on school outings with his children.

Ron Wright
Ron has been working at Platte Woods Animal Hospital as a Groomer for 4 years but has been grooming dogs and cats 15 years in the Missouri and Kansas areas. He lives in the Platte City MO area with his wife, Yvonne , and daughter, Kaela, and also has a son, Christian, as well as 6 very spoiled pets, Evie the French Bulldog, Mick and Mattie the Jack Russell Terriers , Willie the American Foxhound, Callie the Domestic Longhair , and Rainbow the Gold Mantled Rosella. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and hunting and fishing.
